January 2024

Kia ora and greetings,

In 2019, Pope Francis declared the 3rd Sunday of January as the “Word of God Sunday”. He explained that the Holy Spirit “makes Sacred Scripture the living word of God, experienced and handed down in the faith of His holy people”.

Titipounamu Study & Joy will continue to offer various opportunities to learn more about our Holy Scriptures:
We will start a 1h Zoom session on the first Sunday of the month. This will be an hour of questions and answers. As there are not always absolute answers, the sessions will be about unravelling Bible stories and looking for answers together.
Our next series consists of 4 sessions on the topic of miracles. Kieran Fenn fms will lead us through miracles in the Gospels of Mark, Matthew and Luke.

We hope you have enjoyed the Muffin Talk snippets of 2023. If you missed them, they are still available through our website.

This year, Lent will start on 14 February. If you are thinking of praying the Stations of the Cross with a special focus on hands, please remember that our booklet on the Stations of the Cross is available in English, Samoan and German. We are currently working on a Fijian and Croatian translation.
The booklet is available for $7 (incl. postage within New Zealand).

For more information, radio interviews and videoclips, please see our website. If you are on Social Media, follow us on  YouTube and Facebook.
